It’s so important that we keep moving during these uncertain times. Why is that? That’s because movement can go a very long way for your mental + physical health. If you are looking to get a sweat on during quarantine, there are so many options available to you right now to help keep you moving. That’s why I rounded up a list of some of my favorite studios + instructors that you can workout with virtually, including some that are offering subscription deals or free content that can help you get into a new quarantine routine.
The best part about all of these workouts is that all you need is a positive mindset, minimal equipment, & your own body weight. And remember working out from home doesn’t mean you have to workout alone.
Online fitness + yoga classes to do from home during quarantine
One of my favorite yoga studios in Miami is Yoga Lab, because of their bumping music, energetic flows, + high vibe energy1 Because they believe that online classes will never replace that IRL human experience, they are generously offering classes daily on their IG Live and also on their YouTube channel at no cost. Go follow their IG page to know when classes go live and get your virtual vinyasa on!
Modo Yoga NYC
Modo Yoga is a NYC-based hot yoga studio (with over 70 locations around the world) that is offering a HUGE variety of yoga classes + meditations from their instructors everyday through IG Live. These classes are donation-based in order to help support their teachers during this difficult time. So if you virtually pop in for a class, consider donating as a thank you to the instructor (you can find the link to donate on Modo Yoga’s Instagram). Also, no worries if you miss a class because all classes are available for replay for 24 hours.
Flow on your own with Y7 Studio. You can join in for a fully-guided WeFlowHard Vinyasa Flow on their IG Live. This studio chain is also encouraging those who tune in to donate to a local charity such as No Kid Hungry and City Meals which are two amazing charities responding the coronavirus crisis. You can find further details about their online class schedule on their Instagram page.
CorePower Yoga is offering a special collection of their yoga videos on demand for free access. You can find a mix of their signature classes CorePower Yoga 1, CorePower Yoga 2, Sculpt, and Hot Power Fusion, along with meditation classes. New classes will be available every week, that way you can keep up your practice at home.
The Sculpt Society
The Sculpt Society is NYC instructor Megan Roup’s dance cardio + sculpting workout format that is a sure to get the sweat going! During this time, she has extended the free trial to her app & website to 14-days. You can also catch her streaming live from there (and sometimes on her Instagram).
Silhouette by Alexis
Alexis Sweeney is also an NYC-based fitness instructor that has a unique format called Silhouette by Alexis. It is a fusion of barre/Pilates/dance cardio and requires minimal equipment, and can easily be done right from home! She is offering a 7-day free trial, in which members receive a new 40-minute Signature workout a week as well as access to a library of over 50 videos categorized by muscle group.
If you are searching for dance-inspired workout that is also super fun, DanceBody is for you! Whether you are looking to dance or to sculpt (or both), DanceBody is offering a 7-day free trial to their online platform DanceBody Live (which includes live + streaming content!), plus 50% off your first month with the code: DBATHOME.
RE-FORMATION by Zach
Zach Bergfelt is NYC-based instructor at Equinox & SLT, who knows just the right moves to bring the heat and make you quiver. He recently launched his new format called RE-FORMATION, and trust me, his classes will give you that intense burn you will start to crave while also keeping you smiling! For a glimpse, peep this booty burner workout from his Instagram. And make sure to check out his online streaming platform RE-FORMATION for weekly Pilates fusion fitness workouts!
JABS by Gina
Gina DiNapoli is a high energy NYC instructor at Equinox who offers a HIIT training, kickboxing, and muscle isolation workout class called JABS. Everyday, she is offering free15-minute workouts to give you an opportunity to break up your day with a little sweat and positivity! Make sure to catch it on her IG Live!
Just a quick thought before you get going. If you have benefited from some of these (or other) free classes, consider sending a donation to that instructor or studio or offering to pay for a membership/subscription/gift card/etc. These are very challenging times for many, but these studios and instructors are doing their best to continue to offer fitness and yoga content that is readily available to you. In spite of that, hey are also facing drastically reduced income as a result of the indefinite closures of many studios because of coronavirus. They can use your help too.
I hope this list encourages you to get up and get moving!
